Not much to report this month. I honestly didn't do much stitching. Which is bad since I have projects that need to be finished and soon, but I lost my stitching bug. So if anyone finds it, her name is Stitchy, please send it back to me. I need her. 

So what have I been doing? Well, outside of work, I've been playing video games. Mostly Diablo III but recently StarWars The Old Republic (SWTOR) again.

Here's hoping Stitchy comes home soon and I can buckle down and knock out at least Mom's gift. I already figure I won't get Emily's stocking done before Christmas at this rate. *sigh* Oh well...I doubt she's going to care.

Here's hoping everyone else had a wonderful stitch filled month. :)

    I doubt Stitchy has flown as far as Germany, but I'll keep my eyes open for her just in case :)

    Possibly the video games chased her away? Facebook games sometimes do that to me... Hope she returns soon.

      Haha probably. ^_^ Seems I got her back once I found my dedicated stitching bag that goes to work with me. I think she was hiding in it.

Adventures in the Kitchen and other Fun Surprises!

Okay so today's little blog is actually NOT all about stitching, or really even my current WIP as I'm sure you can tell by the title. Let me start this out by explaining a few things.  About a month or so ago Thomas and I went to Kenny's apartment for dinner.  Kenny is one of Thomas's old West Point roommates, a good friend, and one of his classmates at this Captain's Career Course. He lives in the same apartment complex as we do, just a few buildings over.  We periodically switch around who hosts dinner, usually on the weekends, since Kenny lives by himself but still likes to cook and it's frustrating to cook for only one person. I like to cook as well and we both like to cook for other people so....thus the current arrangement. Well Kenny made homemade pasta that night for dinner and it was AMAZING! Seriously, like WAAAAY better than store bought pasta. He showed me his wonderful metal pasta machine that he had picked up at Ross (or some place like that) y

June SFS

Well, I'm a little late in doing this (as always it seems) mostly because even though I read other SFS blogs I never seem to remember to do mine. -__- I actually spent some this month, $19.49 to be exact so I have $5.51 left to carry over for this month.  I went to Hobby Lobby here in Lawton for the first time, just to check it out and see what there was to be had since I had a 40% off coupon.  Got a nice kit and leaflet for cross-stitch.  I also picked up a darning needle and a leaflet book of crochet afghan patterns since I'm teaching myself how to crochet and eventually I'd like to make an afghan. The 'Twelve Days of Christmas' kit is going to be fun with metallic threads and beads. ^_^ And the 'Biker Santa' leaflet I just couldn't pass up since it was on clearance and was just too cute! Don't think I'll start either of those soon though since 'Twelve Days' is another big project and 'Biker' I haven't really loo
